Organic Design in Frank Lloyd Wright's Architecture

Quick fact

Wright's Fallingwater, completed in 1937, is built directly over a waterfall. Its cantilevered balconies are anchored so skillfully that they appear to float above the falling water, and the sound of the waterfall is ever-present inside the home.

Why this is interesting

Have you seen a building that seems to grow right out of its landscape, as if nature designed it? Frank Lloyd Wright made this a lifelong goal—and his idea of 'organic architecture' changed the way we think about buildings, nature, and human life.
