The Demographic Implications of Delayed Childbearing on Sibling Structures

In societies where the average age at first birth rises from about 24 to 30, the proportion of women having a second or third child drops noticeably, and the average age gap between siblings can increase by several years, leading to smaller families and more only-children.
Why this is interesting
If we wait longer to have children, we often end up with fewer, and sometimes they are born farther apart. What does that do to the sibling relationships we grow up with?
